Abu Dhabi-based UAE national carrier Etihad’s decision to introduce an ‘all economy’ service in October will provide another flying option to thousands of residents in Qatar.
Etihad yesterday said it would connect Alexandria (Egypt), Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram (India), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Damascus (Syria) besides Doha in the first phase.
Etihad will deploy two Airbus A320s for initial operations under the ‘all economy’ service. It has plans to add eight more Airbus A320s to connect new short haul destinations from Abu Dhabi.
Residents planning to fly to the above destinations in Egypt, India, Sri Lanka and Syria can benefit from low fares, which Etihad’s ‘all economy’ service is offering.'"
